Osaka, Japan, TINTAHIJAU.COM – The Indonesia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has set a new milestone by recording 30,580 visitors on August 13, 2025, the highest single-day figure since its opening in April 2025.
This brings the total number of visitors to 1,906,296, or around 68 percent of the 2.8 million visitor target.
According to Rahmat Mulianda, Director of the Indonesia Pavilion, the achievement reflects strong global interest in Indonesia.
“This remarkable enthusiasm proves that the world wishes to learn more about Indonesia, its culture, and explore potential cooperation opportunities for the future,” he said.
The Pavilion is optimistic about welcoming its two-millionth visitor in the near future.
Economic and Investment Diplomacy
Carrying the theme “Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future”, inspired by the Balinese philosophy Tri Hita Karana, the Pavilion not only showcases Indonesia’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and creative industries, but also serves as a platform for economic diplomacy.
From April to mid-August, the Pavilion has hosted 51 business forums and one-on-one meetings with investors and industry representatives, which resulted in:
1. 9 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
2. 9 Letters of Intent (LoIs)
3. 1 Joint Venture Agreement
4. 1 Joint StatementThe agreements secured a total investment commitment of USD 23.5 billion, spanning sustainable development, green industry, creative economy, waste management, trade, and tourism.
Collaboration and Support
These achievements were made possible through collaboration with strategic partners including Astra, Artha Graha Peduli, KAPPI, Pertamina, Barito Pacific Group, Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), Indofood, Japfa, BPDP, Garuda Indonesia, as well as various ministries, institutions, and regional governments.
With Expo 2025 Osaka set to close on October 13, 2025, Rahmat emphasized the Pavilion’s commitment to continue delivering impact and a strong presence on the world stage.
“We are optimistic that we can exceed both visitor and investment targets. The Indonesia Pavilion will continue to provide memorable experiences and strengthen Indonesia’s image globally,” he concluded.
